Let’s dance with me! My name is Viktoriya and I am a Certified DanceCraft Teacher, certified Datura Style practitioner and a Principal Ensemble Dancer with EighthWonder Dance Collaborative – EWDC based out of Calgary, AB.
With almost 20 years of experience, my passion for dance is steeped in the traditions of Rachel Brice’s Datura Style, the technique of Zoe Jakes, the styles of Kami Liddle and Olga Meos, just to name a few. I loves mixing traditional Middle Eastern belly dance with modern fusion and folk elements.
I believe that belly dance is a special way to honour human body, the rich culture this form of dance form is rooted in and to express yourself creatively. I am striving to empower my students by teaching them not only the technical aspects of dance but also the history and cultural significance behind each movement.
